    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will oversee key billing and collection processes while supporting the financial operations of a dynamic company. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills and experience in managing accounts receivable within an environment that values attention to detail.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process and manage customer billing and invoicing to ensure timely and accurate payments.

    • Coordinate with project managers and customers to complete monthly billing tasks efficiently.

    • Handle lien releases and collaborate with accounts payable to secure vendor payments when required.

    • Communicate effectively with clients to address missing information and set payment expectations.

    • Manage collections activities, focusing on resolving payment delays and ensuring smooth customer communication.

    • Maintain accurate records of transactions and follow up on outstanding balances.

    • Utilize software to track and update accounts receivable processes.

    • Collaborate with team members, including the controller and payroll processor, to support departmental goals.

    • Apply basic to intermediate Excel skills to analyze financial data and prepare reports.

    • Adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor.

     

    This is a permanent opportunity that will pay up to $62,000 depending upon experience. Please apply to Jane Gearhart if interested!

    Requirements

    • At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.

    • Proficiency in basic to intermediate Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.

    • Familiarity with construction industry billing processes is highly preferred.

    • Strong communication skills and a friendly yet assertive approach to resolving payment issues.

    • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment with minimal supervision.

    • Comfortable managing collections and customer communications with professionalism.

    • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
