Description

An non-profit is looking for a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join their team in Tappahannock, Virginia. This role involves providing expert legal representation in family law matters, managing cases with a focus on litigation, and advocating for clients in court proceedings. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional legal services.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court proceedings, focusing on family law cases with a heavy emphasis on litigation.

• Prepare and draft detailed motions, briefs, and other legal documents to support case strategies.

• Conduct thorough discovery processes to gather and analyze evidence for case preparation.

• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop personalized legal solutions.

• Advise clients on family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support issues.

• Attend hearings and other court proceedings to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.

• Maintain compliance with all legal and ethical standards while managing cases.

• Work closely with colleagues and other legal professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

• Stay updated on changes in family law regulations to provide accurate and informed counsel.

• Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is organized and complete.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed attorney in the state of Virginia.

• Strong background in civil litigation, with experience handling family law cases.

• Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

• Familiarity with discovery processes and evidence analysis.

• Excellent courtroom advocacy skills and experience with court appearances.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide compassionate legal guidance.

• Organized, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

• Commitment to upholding legal ethics and high standards.
