Description

Tess Gilmore with Robert Half is seeking an experienced Buyer to join her client's team. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and components to support production and operational needs. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage the procurement process for assigned categories, ensuring timely and accurate purchasing of materials.

+ Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure favorable terms and reliable supply.

+ Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and planning teams to meet demand.

+ Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards throughout the purchasing process.

+ Resolve issues related to pricing, quality, or delivery with suppliers.

+ Prepare and maintain accurate purchasing records and reports.

Requirements

Requirements

+ 3–5+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in an electrical manufacturing or electrical supply environment.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.

+ Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

+ Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
