Job Title: PharmacistJob Description
The Pharmacist is responsible for managing pharmacy goals and ensuring the efficient and safe dispensing of medications. This role involves providing comprehensive drug screening, information processing, and dispensing services. The pharmacist must ensure that the correct drug product is delivered to the customer accurately and promptly, requiring strong management skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
+ Execute day-to-day operations in the pharmacy, including workflow management, production quotas, and meeting deadlines.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as DEA policies and third-party payer contract rules.
+ Supervise pharmacy production staff to maintain order entry workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules.
+ Check the completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels, orders, and drug packaging.
+ Oversee the preparation and supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions.
+ Assist in the ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of controlled substances, including maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
+ Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled on-call rotations.
+ Ensure the workflow dashboard is cleared daily.
+ Follow applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
+ May be required to work overtime, holidays, and weekends.
+ Comply with departmental safety, attendance, and dress code policies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy
+ Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing
+ Proficiency in clinical interpretation, including drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions, and allergies
+ Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Work Environment
This position operates in a long-term care facility and involves using standard office and pharmacy equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. The noise level in the facility may be loud. The role requires sitting or standing for seven to ten hours per day, with occasional stooping, kneeling, bending, and walking. It may involve lifting and moving up to 25 pounds. The work environment is representative of what is encountered while performing essential job functions. No travel is expected for this position.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tyler, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
