Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Job Description
This role involves developing, automating, and executing test procedures for Line Replaceable Units (LRU) and satellite subsystems to support production rate targets. The position requires creating and maintaining Python-based test automation scripts, utilizing NI TestStand or similar frameworks for automated test development, execution, and reporting. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a project plan with milestones, deliverables, and timeline, as well as creating backlog reports and tracking issues.
Responsibilities
+ Develop, automate, and execute test procedures for LRUs and satellite subsystems.
+ Create and maintain Python-based test automation scripts.
+ Utilize NI TestStand or similar tools for automated test development, execution, and reporting.
+ Develop and maintain project plans with milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
+ Create backlog reports of stories and issues and track their progress.
+ Support system-level testing, validating performance of electronic sub-assemblies and hardware components.
+ Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure test processes are production-ready and aligned with DFM/DFT principles.
+ Diagnose test failures through data analysis, instrumentation, and iterative debugging.
+ Provide feedback on testability and integration during development phases to engineering teams.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Python and experience with test automation using Python scripts.
+ Experience in writing test plans for hardware testing.
+ Experience in electronics testing.
Work Environment
The position requires working onsite in Redmond, WA. The role involves supporting the testing of LRUs for satellites and components, ensuring all test processes meet production and design standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
