Automation Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer who will contribute to the planning, requirements definition, and design process for new features, ensuring testability is a key consideration. The ideal candidate will build and enhance automated systems for our primary applications, providing thorough documentation and reports to project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
+ Provide input to the planning, requirements definition, and design process for new features with a focus on testability.
+ Build and enhance automated systems for primary applications and correct any errors during implementation.
+ Write comprehensive reports and documentation explaining implementations and their value to project stakeholders.
+ Create, test, and monitor automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
+ Collaborate with developers and business owners to identify and address defects.
+ Conduct smoke tests to ensure successful releases.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in software testing, validation, and programming.
+ Proficiency in mobile testing and experience with Appium for iOS applications.
+ Ability to read, write, and execute detailed test plans.
+ Experience in writing detailed bug reports and tracking/resolving defects.
+ Proficiency in both manual and automated testing.
+ Experience with agile methodology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to provide input in the planning and design process.
+ Experience in creating documentation and reports for stakeholders.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Glen Ellyn, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
