    Job Title: Product Development EngineerJob Description

     

    The Vehicle Engineer is responsible for engineering and designing new wheelchair-accessible vehicles from start to finish. The individual will oversee the design and integration of all vehicle systems in these vehicles, setting the overall development strategy while maintaining corporate objectives.

    Responsibilities

    + Design and integrate all vehicle systems for new wheelchair-accessible vehicles.

    + Set and maintain the overall development strategy in line with corporate objectives.

    + Collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure successful project completion.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering field.

    + Experience with structural design.

    + Proficiency in sheet metal design.

    + 5 years of work experience in design, preferably in the automotive sector.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous experience with assembly plant launches, particularly from the ground up.

    + Experience with various joining methods, including welding.

    + Knowledge of structural design for steel and aluminum parts and manufacturing.

    + Familiarity with Dimensional Management and GD&T is preferred.

    Work Environment

    The position is based onsite in Winamac, within a team of 13 engineers. The company is making significant facility and automation upgrades, providing a dynamic work environment. There are opportunities for growth and advancement across different levels of senior engineering (categories 1-7). The company offers a 401k match up to 40% and fosters a positive work environment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
