    Job Description

    Join our team as a Food Quality Assurance Technician, where we offer multiple shifts to fit your schedule. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products through various testing and inspection processes.

     

    Food Quality Assurance Technician – Multiple Shifts Available

    We have three openings across the following shifts:

    1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday

     

    2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday–Friday, with rotating Saturdays as needed

     

    (10% shift differential once full-time)

     

    3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Monday–Friday, with rotating Saturdays as needed

     

    (20% shift differential once full-time)

    Responsibilities

    + Perform in-process analytical testing on products manufactured using continuous cooking equipment, assessing factors such as % soluble solids, viscosity, and color.

    + Conduct organoleptic and visual inspections on products in wet-side areas.

    + Audit cook stations and packaging lines to ensure compliance with HACCP food safety protocols, weights, seals, temperatures, codes, and GMPs.

    + Ensure food safety and quality standards for all products produced or packaged daily.

    + Report and initiate corrective actions for any food safety or quality issues.

    + Conduct environmental swabbing of equipment when necessary.

    + Maintain clear communication across production and management teams.

    + Accurately complete all required daily documentation.

    Essential Skills

    + Quality assurance experience, ideally 1-2 years in a GMP setting.

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Proficiency in problem-solving and math.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Ability to work independently.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Associate degree in food manufacturing or a Scientific Associates degree, or a High School Diploma with some quality testing experience in GMP setting.

    Work Environment

    Work in varied environments that may be hot (80 degrees) or cold (freezer/walk-in cooler), and in dry, dusty, or damp work areas. The role involves using fingers for small movements such as typing, talking to convey detailed or important instructions, and requires average visual abilities for document preparation or product inspection. Physical strength needed to exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and the ability to spend 7-8 hours on feet or in a walking capacity.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brockton, MA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
