Job Description
**Saint Luke's Hospital Plaza currently seeking a Full-Time Surgical Technologist.** To be successful in this position as a surgical technologist, you will need to be an experienced surgical technologist who thrives under pressure, is passionate about their career and professional development, a team player who sets their team up for success, can change directions quickly and can stay positive during any situation. We are looking for surgical technologist professionals who are eager to learn and excited to learn about new technologies and procedures. We are seeing a critical thinker who possess strong communication and time management skills.
Shift:
+ **4 - 10 hour shifts on a rotating schedule**
+ **Call required, which includes weekend and holiday call coverage as needed.**
+ **The Surgical Technologist will take call as assigned.**
Experience
The Cardiovascular Operating Room plays a crucial role in delivering direct primary care to patients undergoing surgical interventions. The primary function of this team is to assist with various surgical procedures, including:
- Cardiothoracic surgeries
- Heart transplants
- Thoracic surgeries
- Vascular procedures
In addition to assisting in these procedures, this position involves teaching qualified surgical technologists, who have graduated from a surgical technologist program, the essential skills needed for the procedures performed in the CVOR. It is important to note that this role requires taking call as part of the responsibilities.
