Job Title: Inventory Controller

Schedule: Full-time, Onsite | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Occasional additional hours, including every other Saturday

About the Role

We are looking for a Inventory Controller to join our laboratory team in Knoxville, TN. This role is critical to ensuring accurate inventory management and smooth operations within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, supplies, specimens, and equipment.

+ Receive and document incoming materials and specimens, reconciling against packing lists.

+ Investigate and resolve inbound and outbound shipment delays, ensuring timely communication and troubleshooting.

+ Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring security and accountability.

+ Prepare and ship materials to other locations, maintaining accurate shipping records.

+ Adhere to all safety regulations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including proper use of PPE.

+ Maintain facility standards, including laboratory and grounds, in compliance with SOPs.

+ Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in handling company records and information.

+ Lift up to 50 lbs as needed for daily tasks.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

+ High School diploma or equivalent

+ Basic computer skills

+ Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

+ Comfortable with frequent walking, standing, bending, and occasional squatting

Preferred Skills & Experience

+ Familiarity with SAP

+ Previous experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory, or logistics

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite at our Knoxville, TN laboratory. The role involves frequent movement and occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens. PPE is required, and tasks are performed in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.30 - $16.30/hr.
