    The Role

     

    Work Leaderman position is responsible for assisting supervisors with job assignment of craft workers. Other key responsibilities are training craft personnel, working on his/her tools as a journeyman within specified craft and substituting for foreman when he/she is not available. Position is considered to be a transitional assignment for personnel interested in pursuing craft management positions.

    Must Have

     

    Must be a current employee of Huntington Ingalls Shipbuilding-Gulf Coast to be considered for this position

     

    Superior Attendance and Disciplinary Record

     

    At time of application currently in the classification of first class Electrician with at least (1) year of journeyman experience and actively at work or graduate of HII apprentice program in respective craft.

    Nice to Have

    * Preferred (2) two years first class Electrician experience.* Achievement of High School Education or GED.
