    Access Control Installer

     

    We are seeking an experienced Access Control Installer to support projects within the VA hospital campus market. This role is ideal for a mid‑level installer ready to work independently, or a senior level professional looking for stable, long‑term opportunity.

    Location & Coverage

    + Primary coverage areas: Culpeper, Gainesville, and Winchester, VA

    Responsibilities

    + Install, service, and expand access control systems across hospital campuses

    + Perform new installations, upgrades, and additions to existing systems

    + Complete all aspects of physical installation, including:

    + Door hardware

    + Electric strikes

    + Maglocks

    + Assist with head‑end connections and basic programming (when applicable)

    + Work independently or collaboratively as part of a project team

    + Maintain professionalism in a healthcare, hospital environment

    Required Experience

    + Experience installing a variety of access control systems

    + Strong hands‑on experience with access control hardware and door work

    + Ability to troubleshoot and work with minimal supervision

    Preferred (Not Required)

    + Experience with Avigilon and/or Lenel

    + Programming or head‑end configuration experience

    Schedule & Work Environment

    + Typical shifts may include:

    + Early mornings (e.g., 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

    + Occasional weekend or off‑hours work

    + Professional, customer‑facing healthcare settings

    Contract Details

    + 40 hours per week; overtime is rare

    + 6‑month contract with strong potential to:

    + Extend

    + Convert to full‑time (FTE) for high performers

    + Use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement

    + Company vehicle may be provided based on performance upon conversion

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisonburg, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
