AT TEKsystems we are supporting a local organization seeking a mid-level IT Project Manager. The IT Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives that support our operational and strategic goals. In addition to core project management responsibilities, this role will also serve in some projects as a business analyst, supporting requirements gathering, process improvement, and solution design to ensure technology solutions align with business needs.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver IT solutions that support business operations, compliance, and innovation.
+ Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
+ Manage project scope, and development/implementation life cycle including risks, issues, and change control processes.
+ Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
+ Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
+ Ensure projects comply with IT governance, cybersecurity, and data privacy standards.
+ Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
+ Collaborate with business units to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
+ Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to understand current and future state workflows.
+ Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
+ Support solution evaluation, testing, and user acceptance processes.
+ Assist in developing training materials and change management plans, as necessary.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation.
+ Provides training, coaching, and counseling for continuous improvement throughout the system integration functions.
+ Keeps abreast of new technologies and laws that impact this activity.
OTHER FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition; performs housekeeping duties as required.
+ Complies with all safety rules and cooperates in the fullest in the promotion of safety and safe work habits, to include the reporting of any unsafe conditions or acts. Maintains all EH&S training on a current basis.
+ Performs all other related duties as instructed by supervisor/manager.
Qualifications
Required Education and/or Work Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or related field.
+ 2–4 years of experience managing IT projects, with exposure to business analysis or systems implementation.
+ Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
+ Proficiency with project and requirements management tools (e.g., MS Project, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence).
+ Experience in identifying and understanding financial results for operational performance drivers.
+ Proficient in the MS Office suite of tools, especially Word, Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint.
+ Familiarity with SOX audit requirements and process flow analysis.
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:
+ PMP, CAPM, or other project management certifications.
+ 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft 365 tools, Monday.com, SharePoint, and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and related software systems highly desirable.
+ 1-2 years of software development experience highly desired.
+ Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, Salesforce, GIS, SCADA, or asset management platforms).
+ Familiarity with business analysis frameworks (e.g., BABOK) or certification (e.g., CBAP, CCBA).
+ Software contracts administration and project administration experience desired.
+ Understanding of cybersecurity principles.
+ Six Sigma and professional certifications.

This is a Permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
