The Quality Technician supports daily quality control testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. This role focuses on performing routine analyses, maintaining accurate records, and assisting senior laboratory staff to ensure results are generated in a timely and compliant manner. Work is performed following established SOPs, safety guidelines, and applicable quality standards.
Shift: 4am-4pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Assist with routine laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established SOPs.
+ Assist with daily checks, basic calibrations, and upkeep of laboratory equipment; report any issues to senior technicians or the supervisor.
+ Maintain accurate lab records, logs, and documentation in accordance with GLP and company quality procedures.
+ Support production operators with basic in-process testing and communicate results or issues promptly to the lab supervisor.
+ Follow all safety procedures, good laboratory practices, and quality guidelines (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000/ISO 22002, cGXP as applicable).
+ Assist senior analysts with sample preparation, reagent preparation, instrument setup, and general lab housekeeping.
+ Participate in shift hand-overs by clearly communicating work completed, pending tasks, and any concerns.
+ Support Quality Assurance with simple data requests or documentation needs as directed.
Desired Background
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Prior laboratory experience preferred (internship, vocational training, or relevant on-the-job experience), but willing to train the right candidate.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Basic understanding of laboratory safety and good laboratory practice (GLP).
+ Familiarity with general lab techniques (weighing, pH measurement, titrations, basic instrumentation) is preferred but not required.
+ Ability to follow written procedures accurately and maintain organized records.
+ Willingness to learn analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, titrators, and physical testing equipment under supervision.
+ Strong attention to detail, reliability, and communication skills.
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
