Job Description
This position is the administrative assistant to the College reporting directly to the Operations Manager of the College and is responsible for the administrative duties of the College. These duties include but are not limited to working with the Deans, Chairs, Faculty and staff for the administrative coordination of courses, admission activities, student records, comprehensive exams, and providing support for various administrative activities such as generation of adjunct faculty contractual services, course scheduling, word processing and development of electronic methods for tracking activities.

Working knowledge of information systems such as Banner or a comparable program. Working knowledge of effective customer service techniques. Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and internet applications. Effective oral and written communication skills.Effective interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct the work of others. Demonstrated ability to prepare correspondence, produce reports and manipulate data. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with external and internal customers and department employees. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.

Some experience providing administrative support and/or office management. Some experience with records maintenance.
Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)
Training in Banner. Training in eVA. Significant training in Microsoft Office Products. Some experience using Banner or a comparable program as it relates to scheduling. Some experience working in higher education.
Working knowledge of state records retention policies and procedures, and university policies and procedures regarding travel, payroll, scheduling and budgeting.
Working knowledge of Schedule 25.
Conditions of Employment
Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday; Flexible hours can be requested.
Annual Salary/Hourly Rate Salary range between $ - 33,828 - 41,000
