Special Education Teacher – $42/hr – Austin, TX – In-Person – 15 Weeks

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to students in a collaborative/modified math setting. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role involves planning and implementing individualized programs, providing special instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to support student success.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: Austin, TX

+ Start Date: January 21, 2026

+ End Date: May 2026

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday

+ Hours: 40 per week (8:00 AM–4:00 PM)

+ Duration: 15 weeks

+ Pay Rate: $42/hour

+ Modality: In-person only

+ Openings: 1 position

+ Interview: Virtual

+ Caseload: Approximately 10 students

+ Classroom Support: Yes

+ Grade Level: Middle School

+ Classroom Type: Collaborative/Modified Math

+ Floating Requirement: None

Responsibilities:

+ Lead classroom instruction and assist students with special education needs

+ Provide group and 1:1 support as needed

+ Participate in ARDs and maintain compliance with all regulations

+ Collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

+ Valid state teaching certificate with SPED EC-12 endorsement

+ Competency in math (math certification not required)

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
