Special Education Teacher – $65/hr – San Jose, CA – In-Person – 180 Days

Position Overview:

We are seeking multiple Special Education Teachers to provide quality services to students in specialized classroom settings. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role involves planning and implementing individualized programs, providing special instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to support student success.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: San Jose, CA

+ Start Date: January 5, 2026

+ End Date: End of 2025–2026 school year (approximately 180 days)

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday

+ Hours: 40 per week

+ Duration: Full school year

+ Pay Rate: $65/hour

+ Modality: In-person only

+ Openings: 11 positions

+ Interview: Required

+ Additional Details: Bilingual preferred but not required; Mild/Moderate SPED teachers needed

Responsibilities:

+ Lead classroom instruction and assist students with special education needs

+ Provide group and 1:1 support as needed

+ Participate in ARDs and maintain compliance with all regulations

+ Collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

+ Valid California teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred)

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
