    School Psychologist (K–12) — Cypress, TX | Immediate Start

     

    Contract | Full-Time | Through End of School Year (Strong Renewal Potential)

     

    Amergis Educational is seeking a compassionate, data-driven School Psychologist to support K–12 learners in Cypress, Texas. You’ll partner with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-impact services across MTSS/RTI tiers, conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, and drive evidence-based interventions that improve student outcomes.

     

    Job Snapshot

     

    + Immediate start with a full-time schedule

    + Work across K–12 settings (elementary, middle, high)

    + Hybrid (4 days onsite / 1 remote)

    + Contract runs through the end of the school year, with a strong possibility of renewal based on performance

    + Be a key contributor to IEP development, eligibility determinations, and progress monitoring within a collaborative, student-centered culture

    + Local candidates: $55/hour

    + Travel packages: Start at $23/hour + weekly stipends (for qualified travelers)

    Psychologist Duties

    + Lead comprehensive psychoeducational assessments (e.g., WISC-V, WJ-IV, BASC-3, Conners, Vineland) to inform eligibility and programming

    + Support MTSS/RtI with universal screening, diagnostic assessments, and data-based decision making

    + Provide consultation to educators and families on PBIS, SEL, progress monitoring, and differentiated supports

    + Develop and monitor FBAs and BIPs; implement tiered behavioral interventions and crisis response procedures

    + Deliver individual and small-group counseling using evidence-based practices (CBT, solution-focused, social skills training)

    + Write clear, compliant reports and participate in IEP meetings, 504 plans, and manifestation determinations

    + Ensure adherence to IDEA, FERPA, and district/state policies; maintain timelines, case management, and re-evaluations

    + Champion culturally responsive, trauma-informed practices and family engagement

     

    Ideal Candiate

     

    + Master’s or Ed.S. in School Psychology (or related field)

    + Texas credential (e.g., LSSP or School Psychologist licensure) — NASP eligibility/credentialing a plus

    + Experience across K–12 settings with MTSS/RtI, IEPs, and behavioral supports

    + Strong skills in assessment, report writing, collaboration, and data-driven problem solving

    + Familiarity with PBIS, SEL, FBA/BIP, and progress monitoring tools

    + Excellent communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus
