Description
The Assistant Manager will support the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that build brand awareness, drive engagement, and support business growth within the North America makeup and fragrance landscape. This role works cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to bring campaigns to life across digital, social, retail, and experiential channels.
STRATEGY
+ Supports delivery of Clinique brand strategy, global vision and North America themes through all products, campaigns, and consumer touchpoints
+ Delivers the Clinique North America marketing calendar and programs, and assists the 360 NA team in the strategic mapping of the cadence of launches
+ Inputs on strategic initiatives such as go-to-market campaigns, consumer eventing, competitor analysis
+ Acts as main 360 makeup marketing point of contact between cross-functional North America teams
MARKETING CALENDAR AND PROGRAMS
+ Plays a key role in the delivery of the timely and seamless execution of the North America marketing calendar. Supports the strategic development of the calendar, highlighting locally relevant opportunities, reviewing OCDs and striving to maximize innovation
+ Supports MU team on go-to-market planning and execution for 5-star product launches and hero product resupports to ensure holistic and impactful storytelling across all consumer touchpoints.
+ Owns and manages end-to-end process for all marketing tools (lab samples, comps, collateral). Own briefs to respective cross-functional teams and ensure on-time delivery for all needs.
+ Manages new product pricing analysis. Researches competitive pricing information, NOAM landscape, key corridors and market insights to inform future strategy and brand positioning.
+ Supports and adds insight to forecasting process for new makeup and fragrance launches. Analyzes internal and external benchmark performance to understand size of prize.
+ Supports the development and execution of the seasonal retailer market week presentations
INSIGHTS AND ANALYSIS
+ Owns and manages weekly reporting of total Makeup and deep dives into new launch performance. Spearheads cross-functional communication to understand business drivers and drags.
+ Proactively delivers Post Campaign Analysis reports in timely manner to highlight successes, learnings and the overall impact of the launch on the wider business. Supports global requests and reports to champion NOAM needs
+ Maintains a close lens on competitor activity, innovation, major programs, media and events to ensure Clinique remains competitive and market leading. Leads quarterly deep dive on competitive launch results and activations.
+ Manages competitive Circana reporting on an adhoc basis to provide insights on the NOAM competitive landscape and Clinique market share.
+ Owns internal and competitive category SKU line-ups and updates seasonally.
+ Supports seasonal line edit/discontinuations with sales, internal and competitive portfolio knowledge.
COMMUNICATION & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
+ Spearhead all marketing communication to the field including quarterly priority alignment presentations, weekly newsletter content, and sourcing product launch feedback.
+ Collaborate with Trade Marketing, Account teams, Education, E-commerce, Creative, and Global Brand teams to support execution of joint business plans and campaigns.
+ Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to maintain alignment and ensure flawless execution.
Qualifications
+ College degree
+ 3 - 4 years relevant work experience
The ideal candidate is both creative and analytical, with a strong understanding of beauty consumers, trends, and storytelling. They are highly organized, proactive, and excited to contribute to brand-building efforts in a fast-paced, ever-evolving industry.
+ Highly organized and detail oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and take complete ownership of projects
+ Must be a self-starter with project management skills and a proactive approach to ensure all deliverables are completed in a timely manner
+ Strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead cross functionally and build relationships internally and externally
+ Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of creativity
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to personally set priorities
+ Must possess excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred
+ Interest and passion for North America marketing including Product, Retail Marketing, and Competitive landscape
+ Marketing experience within Beauty industry or CPG preffered
