This is routine work involving the responsibility for the efficient, economic and palatable preparation and cooking of a variety of foods. incumbents work under the direct supervision of a Cook Manager and may supervise Food Service Helpers. The Food Service Cook prepares and serves fresh, cold and hot food at the correct temperature while maintaining a clean, efficient and safe work environment.

Additional Job Information

Monday-Friday, 7am-1:30pm, 6.5 hrs./day

Minimum Qualifications:

(A) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year of experience in the preparation of food in large quantities;

-OR-

(B) Completion of a standard grade school and five (5) years of food service experience, one (1) year of which included experience in the preparation of food in large quantities;

-OR-

(C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B)
