The Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD) Proteomics Core within the Fischer Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute serves as a resource for the Cancer Biology Department, aiding investigators in answering key research questions using mass spectrometry-based proteomics. We employ quantitative chemoproteomic and interactomic approaches to identify drug targets and are continuing to expand our repertoire to meet the needs of our core users. Our core is equipped with extensive mass spectrometry equipment including timsTOF HT, timsTOF Ultra2 and Orbitrap Eclipse tribrid mass spectrometers.

The TPD Core seeks a highly motivated individual to join the team as a RESEARCH SCIENTIST, who will employ mass spectrometry-based technologies to assess the cellular proteome in response to external stimuli. This individual will be an important member of our core team and will work across a variety of different research projects focused on targeted protein degradation as a novel therapeutic modality. While we consider various mass spectrometry related backgrounds, a strong emphasis on instrument automation, systems management, and proteomics pipeline development is highly desirable.

Located in Boston and the surrounding communities, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care. We are united in our mission of conquering cancer, HIV/AIDS, and related diseases. We strive to create an inclusive, diverse, and equitable environment where we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all backgrounds, and design programs to promote public health particularly among high-risk and underserved populations. We conduct groundbreaking research that advances treatment, we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers, and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.
