APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking an entry level Environmental Scientist on a full-time basis to work in a client office in North Carolina to provide support related to environmental, safety, and other disciplines. The successful candidate must be available for in-person support daily at a location north of Charlotte. Tasks will include collaborating with various client staff on projects as needed, and working with the APTIM client manager to support other client activities outside the office. This position will primarily be in an office environment but may also require travel to client facilities to conduct environmental compliance reviews and/or gather related data.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

+ Communicate directly with client staff in an office setting

+ Learn client systems and follow their code of conduct, in addition to APTIM's

+ Receive assignments from client and APTIM

+ Execute various work scopes, while meeting schedules, deadlines, and budgets

+ Work independently and as part of a project team and be able to adjust to changing conditions

+ Work as a team member to assist in preparation of documents, procedures, and reports

+ Mail, document, and invoice management

+ Time management to ensure a quality product is prepared to meet project deadlines

+ Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard situations

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in a core science (such as geology, chemistry, physics, or biology), engineering, environmental science, or related area required.

+ Related work experience up to 2 years.

+ Must have strong written and oral communication skills.

+ Strong computer skills desired, such as proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, etc. and the ability to learn other software applications.

+ Willing to work in the field and travel to complete work, as requested.

+ Investigations in accordance with ASTM Standards preferred.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $26.92 to $28.84 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
