    We have an outstanding Contract position for aSenior Security Engineer to join a leading Company located in theClarksburg, WVsurrounding area.

     

    US Citizenship is required.

     

    Candidate must possess an Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

     

    The Senior Security Engineer leads the design, development, and operations of secure cloud platforms across FBI environments.

     

    This position is responsible for advanced threat detection, incident response planning, cyber resiliency strategy, and ensuring compliance with enterprise and federal security standards. The engineer acts as a subject matter expert (SME) and collaborates across multiple FBI OCIO teams and external partners to protect mission-critical applications and infrastructure.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Lead the development of enterprise-wide cloud security policies, incident response plans, and cyber resiliency strategies.

    + Design, implement, and continuously improve secure cloud-based architectures and monitoring systems.

    + Analyze complex security data to detect, remediate, and prevent cyber threats.

    + Guide platform and application teams on secure coding and architecture best practices.

    + Coordinate vulnerability management activities and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.

    + Represent the organization in coordination with industry and government security partners.

    + Oversee COMSEC operations and cryptographic key management systems (CKMS).

    + Ensure compliance with federal and industry standards, including NIST, CNSSI 4009, and DoD policies.

    + Mentor junior engineers and lead security-related projects from concept through deployment.

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

    + 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 3+ years in a cloud security role.

    + Deep technical knowledge of cloud security across enterprise and hybrid environments.

    + Expertise in security architecture, network defense, data protection, and threat modeling.

    + Demonstrated experience with incident response, log correlation, and risk assessment.

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or GCIH strongly preferred.

    + Strong communication and leadership skills—capable of briefing executives and leading cross-functional security initiatives.
