Human Resources Supervisor – Romeoville, IL

What You’ll Do:

Play a key role in shaping a positive workplace culture by leading HR operations, employee relations, and compliance efforts. Your work will directly impact associate experience and help build a thriving, engaged team.

Established in 2006, Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), a subsidiary of GSF, is a custom last-mile distribution company specializing in tailored solutions for selected food service Industry customers. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD services thousands of restaurants throughout the United States. Providing over 37,000 deliveries a week from 25 strategically located distribution centers, the QCD fleet averages more than 40 million miles driven per year. QCD associates also help run a national non-profit, the GSF Foundation.

In This Role, You’ll :

+ Champion employee support through onboarding, benefits guidance, payroll, and workplace policies.

+ Promote a safe, respectful environment by ensuring compliance with labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, Title VII).

+ Build strong union relationships, lead negotiations, and resolve concerns collaboratively.

+ Drive smooth onboarding and conduct fair, timely investigations when needed.

+ Oversee payroll accuracy, HR records, workers’ comp, and leave programs with care and precision.

+ Contribute to recruitment, workforce planning, and performance reviews to strengthen our team.

What You’ll Bring:

+ Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (PHR/SPHR preferred).

+ 5–10 years HR experience, including 5+ in leadership roles.

+ PHR and/or SPHR certification from SHRM or a college plus demonstrated years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree .

+ Deep knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and safety practices.

+ Exceptional communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.

+ Union experience in negotiations and contract administration.

The Schedule & Setting:

+ Onsite at our Romeoville, IL Distribution Center

+ 5 days a week - 8:00am – 5:00pm (remote work not available)

+ Occasional travel

Pay & Benefits:

+ Salary is DOE with starting pay between $60k - $90k and bon us eligible.

+ Weekly pay (every Friday)
