Plant WD |Finishing Operator| Shift 3

Position Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for operating the coater at top efficiency.

Essential Duties:

+ Operate the coater at top efficiency

+ Control the latex cup weight using the latex control screen to ensure proper application

+ Make sure the carpet is dry at the proper back temperature, regulating oven zone temperatures as needed

+ Gap applicator roller weekly

+ Operate foam application using the foamer application panel

+ Control Mahlo settings to minimize bow and skew in pattern products

+ Ensure the carpet and backing are pinning correctly on the tenter chain

+ Monitor latex plows and puddle

+ Keep work area clean

Physical Requirements:

+ Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, stoop, and climb steps

+ Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
