Job Description
The Application Support Engineer will join a team of engineers responsible for providing technical analysis, investigation, and technical maintenance and support on the organizations 3rd party applications and client technical application related issues; This role will specifically support a Hyperion application (Oracle system). You will be maintaining, prioritizing, and addressing to internal technology groups and 3rd party technology vendors. You will also be responsible for maintaining the production applications and day-to-day operational activities, manage escalations and modify established procedures / approaches to suit specific situations including 24 x 7 support and coordination of recovery efforts.
This role is hybrid onsite, 2x days per week in downtown Chicago, IL.

Skills and Requirements
• 5+ years of Application Support experience with hands on experience in 3rd party application support, performance maintenance, application analysis, SQL scripting, software patching and ITIL (ServiceNow), incident response and solutioning, documentation, etc.
• Preferred expertise in Hyperion Architecture, maintaining Essbase cubes, and software patching and ITIL (ServiceNow). Experience coding and maintaining MaxL scripts.
• If no direct experience with Hyperion, then supporting Oracle applications and environments would be most similar and relevant.
• Hands on technical experience with cubes (Essbase), MaxL scripts, or strong SQL scripting.
• Familiarity with Azure public cloud and an understanding of RBAC, Privileged Access Management, and Privileged Identity Management. File integration experience is an asset.
• Understanding of risk management, capital stress testing, credit risk models, and regulatory compliance.
Strong communication skills; Ability to act as a liaison between 3rd party vendors for application issue resolution.
