    Job Description

    • Working on a core system for data ingestion

    • Supporting a larger SRP initiative led by another internal team

    • Help with handling migration off MarcLogic (a proprietary DB) and modernizing into Solr

    • Integrates and mirrors changes from upstream systems as part of cross-functional backend engineering

    Skills and Requirements

    • Java (Spring Boot)

    Kubernetes/EKS

    • AWS: EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS

    • Agile methodology

    • Strong system design understanding

    • Excellent communication – cross-functional work with global teams, must be able to clearly document and explain technical decisions

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science preferred (for architectural understanding) • OpenSearch or SOLR (plus, not required)

    • Familiarity with search tools or distributed systems

    • Previous experience in migration-heavy environments is a plus
