Summary:

We are seeking a Display Integration engineer to join our Reality Labs team, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of these systems. As a key member of our team, you'll explore display integration architectures, process and equipment spaces for wearable systems, develop and analyze novel processes, and drive detailed analysis. In this role, you will be part of a team where you will consistently switch between high-level thinking and meticulous attention to detail for our architectures and process development.

Required Skills:

Display Integration Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Develop novel and scalable process and integration for wearable systems

2. Drive detailed design and process development (i.e this could be a range of design reviews, tolerance analysis, FMEA, DFM, FAT, SAT, requirement specifications, Statements of Work (SOW), calibration procedures, and maintenance procedures etc.)

3. Manage failure analysis and corrective action initiatives, driving improvements in yield, reliability, throughput, and unit per hour (UPH) performance

4. Collaborate with internal teams for adoption of new technologies

5. 2+ years of experience in the development of assembly processes and integration for display/optical imaging assemblies

6. Experience about adhesive for optical processes and opto-mechanical processes

7. Knowledge about setting up and implementing DOEs, data analysis, SPC control, Gauge R&R, root cause investigation, failure analysis, implement corrective action

8. Track-record of delivering high volume products to the market

9. Knowledge of display quality metrics and test equipment used to measure optical performance

10. Experience with precision optical assembly such as glass bonding, collimator lens assembly, and film lamination

11. Experience directing equipment development efforts at China equipment manufacturers

12. Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, including design for manufacturability prototyping, and production ramp-up in consumer electronics industry

13. Knowledge about developing active alignment equipment for light engines, camera modules, or similar

14. Experience managing particle contamination and implementing contamination control for micron-sized particles in cleanrooms and inside automation equipment

15. Knowledge about specifying and calibrating 2D and 3D optical metrology instruments and measurement methods, such as white light interferometry, confocal sensors, machine vision, etc

16. Experience in 3D modeling/2D drafting using NX, ProE, or SolidWorks

17. Interpersonal skills for working across teams, including internal cross-functional engagements and external domestic/international vendor engagements

18. Experienced in developing processes and equipment for AR/VR applications

19. Collaboration and Ambiguity: Experience to handle ambiguity and collaborate effectively with large cross-functional teams and multilayer supply chains

20. Knowledge about optical adhesive, structural adhesives, active alignment adhesives, related dispenser technologies, surface preparation, dispense and cure optimization

21. 6-sigma experience (Green Belt)

Public Compensation:

$118,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
