Overview
Job Purpose
ICE Data Pricing & Reference Data is offering a unique opportunity for a full-time Business Analyst to join a team responsible for working as part of the Business Regulatory Operations team of the Fixed Income Operations group. The primary responsibilities will be to support the product managers and product developers.
As a member of the Fixed Income Operations team, you will assist Product Management and other business stakeholders with the ad-hoc analysis of data, to help answer client and business inquiries and assess the viability of different approaches to meeting functional goals.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and resolve client issues, escalating high-risk or complex problems to supervisors or subject matter experts.
+ Help identify trends and causation of inaccurate and/or incomplete data.
+ Use SQL, Python and/or Excel functions to organise and analyze various data sets.
+ Demonstrate a strong understanding of how assigned tasks contribute to overall fixed income operations.
+ Exercise independent judgment in resolving low-risk issues while adhering to compliance and control standards.
+ Collaborate with own team and related teams to ensure seamless process execution.
+ Report operational issues and resolutions to management promptly.
+ Elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for business processes and product enhancements from users and product managers.
+ Document processes and recommend improvements and efficiencies.
+ Work individually and within a team setting to deliver requirements on time and within scope.
+ Effectively multi-task on different tasks/projects. Track to-do items effectively and re-prioritize when needed.
+ Ability to navigate and step through complex problems where final solutions may be multi-step or complex.
Knowledge and Experience
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience or (MBA Finance, PGDM Finance, M.Com or MFM degrees for India)
+ Excellent attention to detail and high degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to distil large amounts of information into specific takeaways.
+ Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and collaborate with team members.
+ 2+ years working knowledge of SQL, Excel functions.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical subjects.
+ Strong analytical skills, particularly analyzing and summarizing the content of data sets.
+ Basic understanding of fixed income securities, derivatives and rate products.
Preferred
+ Advanced degree is a plus.
+ Working knowledge of JSON/XML data structures, RESTful APIs or VBA development is a plus.
+ Experience with fixed income, equity or credit derivative pricing and market data is a plus.
New York Base Salary Range
The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $82,400 - 108,200 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
