Bloomberg News is seeking a freelance Visual Producer with strong still-image production skills and proficiency in quick-turn video editing. This role reports to the Global Visuals Director and works closely with photo editors across news, enterprise, and magazine coverage.

As part of the News Desk, you’ll help shape Bloomberg’s visual coverage by coordinating across photo, audience, and editorial teams to deliver compelling imagery for the web, the homepage, and social platforms. You will support daily news priorities while upholding Bloomberg’s standards for accuracy, ethics, and visual quality.

Responsibilities:

+ Work across the news, enterprise, and magazine photo teams, the News Desk, and audience teams to produce still images and multimedia visuals for daily news, features, and quick-turn coverage.

+ Assign, edit, and oversee still photography across the newsroom.

+ Commission and manage both still and motion assignments as needed.

+ Ensure all visual output aligns with Bloomberg’s editorial standards, integrity, and brand.

+ Manage multiple stories and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-moving news environment.

+ Exercise strong news judgment and communicate effectively across desks.

+ Identify opportunities to transform still photography, field footage, and news imagery into short-form video.

+ Edit vertical and horizontal video for Bloomberg’s web and social platforms.

Qualifications:

+ Five years experience producing and editing still imagery within a newsroom or editorial environment.

+ Demonstrated ability to commission both still and video assets.

+ Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and related tools.

+ Strong editorial judgment and adherence to journalistic ethics.

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a deadline-driven, high-volume news setting.

+ Familiarity with Bloomberg’s editorial approach and visual standards is a plus.

Salary Range = 45 - 65 USD Hourly

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
