Kaua'i Medical Clinic is the island’s largest clinic and only multispecialty medical group. More than 85 physicians and midlevel providers offer primary and specialty care at clinic locations in Eleele, Kapaa, Koloa and Lihue.
Clinic physicians are in every neighborhood in Kaua‘i to serve our island community. Obstetrical care includes pre-pregnancy counseling, medical, dietary and social service counseling, pregnancy testing, prenatal care and referral services including genetic counseling and fetal diagnostic services. Family planning services include annual physical exams, testing for sexually transmitted diseases and birth control methods. Gynecological services include routine exams, treatment for abnormal pap smears and STDs and evaluation for and scheduling of major and minor surgeries.
As the Medical Assistant, you will form part of the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide the most caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities to clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

**Minimum Qualifications:** High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.
**Preferred Qualifications:** One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician’s office, or related experience.
