Position Description:
Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Physicians – Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a well-established practice. The position would support plastic surgeons in various capacities. Duties would involve assisting in the operating room, rounding on patients including entering progress notes, orders and discharge summaries, and seeing new hospital consults. The PA/NP would also see new and established patients in the office and would assist in office procedures.
LGHP Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery is composed of six board certified plastic surgeons, two Advanced Practice Clinicians, an aesthetician, and multiple support staff. The plastic surgeons perform a wide variety of cosmetic and reconstructive cases including non-invasive procedures such as Botox and Fillers. The aesthetician focuses on skin care which includes laser treatments, Coolsculpting, microneedling, dermaplaning, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and topical products.
**Hours:** Full-time with hours primarily between 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. There will be call associated with the position. (Averaging 1 in 8)
Minimum Requirements:
Physician Assistant
+ Current licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of Medicine
+ Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant training program
+ Minimum one-year experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred
Nurse Practitioner
+ Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania
+ Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required (Acute Care NP certification required)
+ Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse
+ RN First Assistant (RNFA) certification required.
+ Surgical experience in an operating room is required
+ Minimum one-year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
