    Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will maintain a variety of over 900 wireless devices including Samsung Android and Apple smartphones, Android Tablets, and wireless modems. You will manage device lifecycle, including ordering upgrades, replacements, and decommissioning. You will enforce device policies like password complexity, data encryption, and app restrictions. You will provide technical support to users regarding mobile device usage and troubleshooting connectivity problems. You will coordinate with the wireless carrier when necessary to resolve service-related issues and perform hardware maintenance on wireless assets. You will perform desktop support to resolve common software application issues and instructs users on the submission of trouble tickets for the resolution of enterprise service-related issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and maintaining the wireless device and public address equipment asset management plan; identifying, reporting, and resolving, a variety of wireless device issues and problems; recommending changes in methods and practices and providing critical information and assistance to wireless customers; serving as the central point of contact for end-user wireless mobility support. GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: tracking and maintaining inventories of wireless devices and available spares; generating reports on device and network usage, device health, security compliance and software updates; Managing user access and permissions on mobile devices. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Education Requirements Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled. Other Education: Communications/electronics or automatic data processing training in technical institutes or business schools above the high school level or in Armed Forces schools that included advanced instruction in addition to basic courses, may be substituted for general experience on a month-for-month basis In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows: GS-09 Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree in electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled OR Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree in electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled OR Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/working-in-government/unique-hiring-paths/students/federal-occupations-by-college-major/ OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Additional Information The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze.
