    We are seeking a highly accomplished AI Solutions Engineer to lead digital transformation initiatives focused on Complexity Analytics and other advanced AI techniques. In this pivotal role, you will help with the design, implementation, and optimization of AI solutions that enhance operational efficiency, and bolster infrastructure reliability. Collaborating within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), you will engage with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into technical realities, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that align with our strategic goals

     

    _**_** **_This is a hybrid position based out of one of Collins’ major facilities. **_

    What YOU will do:

    + Partner with teams across the organization to ensure the seamless integration and successful delivery of solutions, adhering to SAFe's collaborative ethos.

    + Articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering seamless collaboration across SAFe teams and leadership.

    + Design, build, and deploy full end-to-end production AI systems, leveraging complex data pipelines, advanced AI and agentic AI models, and modern MLOps and DevOps practices to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

    + Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks associated with projects and initiatives, considering the broader implications within the SAFe context.

    + Develop integration strategies with existing enterprise systems.

    + Collaborate with AI engineers and business stakeholders.

    + Ensure platform scalability, security, and compliance.

    + Enable efficient deployment of AI solutions by internal AI engineers.

    + Ensure the platform meets the needs of business users across the enterprise.

    Qualifications YOU Must Have:

    + Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

    + Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).

    + 8+ years of progressive experience in software development and IT

    + 3-5+ years of hands-on development expertise

    + 2-3+ years in leadership or senior engineering roles demonstrating the ability to technically lead and inspire teams.

    + Advanced knowledge of Statistics, Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations, demonstrated through application to complex engineering problems.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Proven ability to gather and analyze complex requirements, design and architecting comprehensive solutions across multiple domains, including enterprise, application, data, integration, infrastructure, and security.

    + Demonstrated expertise in AI/ML technologies, cloud architecture, and enterprise software, with strong analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.

    + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate intricate technical concepts clearly and effectively to audiences.

    + Extensive experience in AI research, theory, and innovation, with a strong interest in the intersection of AI and Complexity Science.

    + Proficient in development tools and environments such as Databricks, Linux (Ubuntu, Bash), Conda, pip, VS Code, Spyder, Git/GitHub, GPUs, and REST APIs.

    + Advanced programming skills in Python, leveraging libraries like Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, Unstructured.io, LangChain, and Haystack for AI/ML applications.

    + Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and delivery of innovative products.

    + Hands-on experience developing and training models for applications in Computer Vision, Conversational AI, Natural Language Processing, Decision Support, Ranking/Recommendations, and Speech/Audio.

    + Expertise in building and managing data pipelines, data processing workflows, database querying, and MLOps processes.

    + Extensive experience in cloud-native architectures with deep proficiency in leading cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. .

    + Solid understanding and application of DevOps methodologies, tools, and containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.

    + Experience with XR technologies, Simulation and Agentic AI, is a valuable plus

    The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
