About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Classical (Benign) Hematologist to diagnose, treat, and manage non-malignant hematologic disorders. This role is ideal for a physician who is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based care and contributing to research and education in a dynamic academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Diagnose and manage a wide range of benign hematologic conditions, including anemia, clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, and thrombophilia.
+ Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and blood transfusions when clinically indicated.
+ Develop individualized treatment plans informed by the latest clinical guidelines.
+ Collaborate across disciplines to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care.
+ Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment options, and long-term management strategies.
+ Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects.
+ Contribute to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications
+ Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
+ Fellowship training in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology with a focus in benign hematologic disorders
+ Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology
+ Eligible for a Texas medical license
