    Your role and responsibilities

    Advisory Software Developer, IBM Corporation, San Jose, CA (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

    * Work with product managers to design and build Open Telemetry features that support flexible observability for new technologies.

    * Develop and maintain toolchains to streamline customer adoption of Open Telemetry, building a sustainable ecosystem with partners and customers.

    * Evolve AI-driven automated observability infrastructure. codebase for complete Open Telemetry coverage across all system layers, from agents to frontend.

    * Collaborate with support and internal users to resolve issues.

    * Create documentation, demo assets, and onboarding resources to improve user experience and adoption rates.

    * Work with development teams on integrating Open Telemetry capabilities throughout the platform.

    * Contributing code, reporting issues, and enhancing documentation.

    * Utilize: Java, Golang, JavaScript, Generative Al Technology, Open Telemetry Technology, Application Performance Monitoring and Observability Technologies, Kubernetes and OpenShift Technologies.

     

    Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, or related (employer will accept a bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related. $264514 - $315800 per year.
