    Position Details:

    + **Facility:** BayCare Health System - Sleep Disorders

    + **Location:** Morton Plant Hospital

    + **Status:** PRN , Exempt: No

    + **Shift Hours:** 6:30PM - 7:00AM

    + **Shift:** Nights

    + **Weekend Work:** Occasional

    + **On Call:** No

     

    The Polysomnographic Technologist II is responsible for the performance of all the Sleep Disorders Center procedures in accordance with technical standards in the essential job functions approved by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST), and the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). A Sleep Technologist II can provide supervision of a Sleep Technologist I.

    Experience Required:

    + Polysomnography - 1 year required

    + Electroencephalography (EEG) - 1 year required

    + OR Respiratory Therapist (RRT) 1 year required

    + Preferred - 1 year Polysomnography

    Education Required:

    + High school or equivalent

    + Technical Diploma/Associates Degree - Polysomnographic; Or Technical - Electroencephalogram (EEG); Or Technical Respiratory Therapy

    Credentials Required:

    + BLS (Basic Life Support)

    + RPSGT (polysomnography) / RRT/CRT / Relevant Specialty
