The Facilities Coordinator is an excellent opportunity for someone who is motivated, organized, and eager to learn the full spectrum of facilities management within a dynamic media environment. This role supports a multi-platform sports network operating out of a state-of-the-art, multi-use building that houses corporate offices, production studios, and technical broadcast operations .
Working closely with the Facilities Department and partnering with teams across the organization, this role helps ensure our workspace is safe, efficient, and welcoming for employees, guests, and production teams. It’s a fast-paced, hands-on position where attention to detail, problem-solving, and strong communication are essential, offering valuable exposure to building operations, vendor coordination, event support, and day-to-day office services.
This role is onsite in Santa Monica, CA.
In this role, you will:
+ Replenish, organize, and maintain pantries/kitchens, conference rooms, copy rooms, restrooms, and other common areas
+ Take inventory and reorder supplies as needed
+ Assist with mailroom operations, shipping, and receiving services
+ Perform minor building repairs and general maintenance/handy work
+ Conduct inspections and maintain reports on building systems and equipment
+ Routinely inspect and manage the upkeep of common areas, restrooms, and employee workspaces
+ Manage and respond to employee requests through the electronic ticket tracking system
+ Monitor and coordinate janitorial services
+ Coordinate with outsourced vendors and contractors
+ Provide daily office support services to multiple departments, business units, and clients
+ Assist in supervising security guard staff and provide coverage at the security desk when needed
+ Provide training and guidance to new staff members
+ Coordinate and support onsite events and meetings
+ Serve as the primary liaison for property management and parking office requests
+ Support Facilities team members with various day-to-day tasks
+ Learn, evaluate, update, and help implement departmental SOPs, processes, and policies
+ Assist with office relocations, workspace moves/changes, and new-hire accommodations
+ Move items, boxes, furniture, and other materials as needed
+ Respond to emergencies and support employee and property safety and hazard mitigation
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Computer/internet and mobile device savvy
+ Good written and oral communication skills
+ Highly reliable and punctual
+ Eagerness to learn
+ Collaborative team player, highly cooperative
+ Positive upbeat disposition
+ Strong attention to detail and organizing
+ Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
+ Knowledge or experience in construction/project management (electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing experience is a plus)
+ Knowledge and ability to repair building mechanical (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, facilities equipment and systems (is a plus)
+ Valid CA driver’s license, personal vehicle, and clean driving record
+ May need to drive company vehicle and/or own vehicle for various projects

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $25.00 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
