Duties Description The duties of this position will include but are not limited to the following:• Perform and supervise registration activities and fee collection; keep records for several State Park offices.• Interact with the public, answer visitor questions, and handle complaints.• Supervise others, including assigning and reviewing work, training, and developing employee skills, and evaluating seasonal employees.• Prepare seasonal payrolls, timesheets, and perform other functions as needed.• Enter attendance and revenue data.• Manage special programs and activities including preparing Special Permits.• Keep inventory of equipment, monitor condition, and schedule or perform repairs.• Reconcile procurement card transactions, enter data into the Budget Expenditure Tracking System (BETS) and the Statewide Financial System (SFS).• Assist in obtaining quotes for purchases and billing.• Act as a liaison with the Regional Business Office.• Perform other park-related duties as assigned, such as refuse removal, litter removal around the building, cleaning structures, and snow removal.
Minimum Qualifications One year of experience* in the operation and / or maintenance of a park, historic site, golf course, or recreational facility. In addition to operations and maintenance, the following types of experience are also qualifying: law enforcement or security, firefighting, environmental education, environmental stewardship, natural resource management, forest management, wildlife management or preservation, or historic preservation or interpretation; OROne year of military service in any of the military branches; ORAn Associate’s or higher-level degree, or 60 credit hours of college level coursework; ORCompletion of an appropriate two-year technical / trades school program or two years' experience as a trades assistant under the supervision of a skilled tradesperson.*If verifiable, we will accept and prorate part-time and volunteer experience.
