Our client, an innovative leader in agricultural research, is seeking a Greenhouse Research Technician - Weekend Shift to join their team. As a Greenhouse Research Technician, you will be part of the Controlled Environments Team supporting research and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, a passion for learning, and strong organizational skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Greenhouse Research Technician - Weekend Shift

**Location:** Johnston, IA

**Shift:** Work shift 7:30AM - 4:00PM, Shifted schedule Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday.

What's the Job?

+ Assist with daily greenhouse plant care, including pollination, transplanting, watering, harvesting, and seed management for various crops.

+ Support experimental procedures, help in data collection, and maintain detailed records of research activities.

+ Perform routine sanitation tasks in the greenhouse, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and proper waste disposal.

+ Maintain a professional, clean, and safe work environment while adhering to all regulatory standards.

+ Support the team in maintaining the overall health and productivity of the greenhouse environment.

What's Needed?

+ High school diploma or GED required; a degree in agriculture, horticulture, entomology, or related plant sciences is preferred but not mandatory.

+ At least two years of relevant experience or equivalent education will be considered.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Basic proficiency in MS Office applications and the ability to learn proprietary research software.
