Lab Analyst I (Night Shift)
**Location:** Kansas City, MO
**Schedule:** 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a **Lab Analyst I** on behalf of a pharmaceutical manufacturing partner in **Kansas City, MO** . This role supports a 24/7 Quality Control laboratory operating across three shifts and is responsible for routine analytical testing that supports process control, quality control, product development, and waste management activities.
This position requires working an **8-hour night shift** , with rotating days within the shift every three to four months, including weekends and holidays as needed.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Lab Analyst I performs routine analytical testing in the Analytical Services laboratory, generating accurate and timely data to support manufacturing and quality operations. The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to protocols and safety standards, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated laboratory environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Perform routine analytical testing in accordance with approved protocols, methods, and work instructions.
+ Accurately record, calculate, review, and report analytical results using LIMS, CDS, and other laboratory systems.
+ Review analytical data, LIMS reports, and laboratory documentation for accuracy and completeness.
+ Prepare reagents and solutions; clean and maintain glassware; and properly dispose of solid and liquid waste.
+ Conduct basic operational preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments according to work instructions.
+ Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate routine instrument or testing issues to laboratory leadership.
+ Search internal databases for test methods, specifications, and standards required to complete analyses.
+ Communicate testing results, discrepancies, and troubleshooting opportunities with team members and supervisors.
+ Assist in training others on waste management practices as assigned.
+ Monitor laboratory supplies and notify leads when consumables reach critical levels.
+ Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process improvement opportunities and assisting with implementation.
+ Complete data entry related to laboratory metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
+ Maintain compliance with safety, housekeeping, and regulatory requirements, including participation in lab and site safety programs.
+ Maintain working knowledge of RCRA hazardous waste regulations, waste determinations, and waste codes, and promptly communicate any spills or leaks.
+ Work a variety of schedules as required, including weekends and holidays.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ High school diploma or equivalent **plus a minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience**
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ High attention to detail with the ability to compare results against established standards
+ Ability to diagnose routine instrument issues with minimal assistance
+ Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced lab environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ 3+ years of laboratory experience
+ Basic understanding of **HPLC and GC operations**

**Pay Details:** $21.00 to $23.80 per hour
