LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450;Learning Unlimited (for After School Adult Education Grant Program)

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Per Diem Sub; Spring Session- February through May, Fall Session- September through November, Contingent on Grant Funding.

STARTING DATE: Spring Session- February through May and Fall Session- September through November

SALARY RANGE: Flat rate of $55 per hour

DUTIES:

1. Provide educational program that promotes independent living skills and socialization skills for individuals with disabilities

2. Develop, implement and evaluate lesson plans utilizing best practices.

3. Collaborate with other professionals in the program to purchase supplies and materials in accordance with Monroe #1 BOCES policy and within the Grant Budget

4. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders

5. Manage and support classroom team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. NYS Special Education Teacher Certification

2. Experience with students with developmental and emotional disabilities.

3. Training in Life Crisis Intervention strategies, TCI, SCIP-R or similar problem-solving strategies preferred.

4. Knowledge and experience implementing NYS standards, Core Curriculum and NYS Alternative Assessment.

5. Proven leadership with classroom team management preferred.

6. Experience working with students who exhibit intense behavioral/emotional disabilities preferred.

7. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
