POSITION OVERVIEW:

Waverly-Shell Rock Community School District seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic 5th/6th Grade Literacy and Social Studies Teacher to join our middle school team. This position offers the opportunity to inspire young learners during a critical developmental stage while working collaboratively in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Deliver engaging literacy and social studies instruction

+ Collaborate with grade-level and content team members

+ Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of 5th and 6th-grade students

+ Maintain effective classroom management and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment

+ Assess student work, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain accurate records

+ Communicate regularly and effectively with students, families, and administration

+ Participate actively in team meetings and professional learning communities

+ Support the school's mission of growing, learning, and leading

+ Contribute to a culture where all students experience belonging, opportunity, and achievement
