This member-owned cooperative company serves thousands of independent hardware and home improvement retailers worldwide. Headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the company provides technology, distribution, and business solutions that help local retailers compete and grow while maintaining their independent identities.

They are seeking a **Junior .NET Developer** to join its growing technology team. This role is ideal for an early-career developer eager to build enterprise-level applications, learn modern cloud and messaging technologies, and contribute to systems that support thousands of independent retail businesses.

Required Skills & Experience

+ 2–3 years of professional experience in software development

+ Hands-on experience with **C# and .NET 6+**

+ Familiarity with **SharePoint 2013 or newer**

+ Experience with **JavaScript** and at least one modern framework ( **React preferred** )

+ Working knowledge of **TypeScript**

+ Experience with SQL and relational databases ( **SQL Server, MySQL, SQLite** )

+ Exposure to **Azure cloud services** , particularly Azure DevOps

+ Basic understanding of **Java** (nice to have)

+ Familiarity with messaging or streaming platforms such as **Kafka**

+ Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

Preferred Skills & Experience

+ Exposure to microservices or distributed systems

+ Experience with CI/CD pipelines

+ Understanding of event-driven architecture

+ Prior experience supporting enterprise or retail systems

**What You Will Be Doing** Tech Breakdown:

+ 20% maintenance

+ 80% new development

Daily Responsibilities:

+ Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of internal and customer-facing applications using **C# and .NET 6+**

+ Support and enhance legacy and modern solutions, including **SharePoint 2013+** environments

+ Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services

+ Collaborate with senior developers, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions

+ Build and enhance front-end components using **JavaScript, React, and TypeScript**

+ Work with relational and lightweight databases such as **SQL Server, MySQL, and SQLite**

+ Participate in cloud-based development and deployments using **Azure DevOps** , **Cosmos DB** , and **Azure Service Bus**

+ Assist with event-driven and messaging solutions using **Kafka**

+ Debug, test, and document code while following best practices and coding standards

Office Location

+ Fort Wayne, Indiana

+ While on contract 5 days onsite -> Once converted to full-time employees are allocated 4 remote days a month

The Offer

+ $45-50/hr

+ 6 Month Contract-To-Hire
