Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in located in the Greater Philadelphia Region. In this role, as a Senior Accountant you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial operations, including reconciliations and reporting. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in accounting who excel in fast-paced environments.
What you get to do every single day:
• Oversee the month-end closing process to ensure all financial data is accurately recorded.
• Manage the general ledger, including reviewing and posting journal entries.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure proper cash flow tracking.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address discrepancies and improve processes.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues to ensure seamless operations.
• Utilize financial software, such as Dynamics, to streamline accounting processes.
Requirements
Other requirements for the Senior Accountant position include and are not limited to:
• Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in managing general ledger and journal entries.
• Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare and interpret financial reports.
• Familiarity with accounting software, particularly Dynamics, is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
