Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves managing financial processes such as cash applications, account reconciliations, billing, and accounts payable/receivable. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Assistant Controller to support month-end closing procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Process cash applications and ensure timely allocation of payments.

• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Handle billing operations and resolve any discrepancies effectively.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

• Assist the Assistant Controller with month-end closing tasks and financial reporting.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and ComputerEase software to analyze and organize financial data.

• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for audits and compliance purposes.

• Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate with other departments to support financial operations and address inquiries.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and data management.

• Familiarity with ComputerEase or similar accounting software.

• Strong knowledge of cash applications, billing, and financial reconciliation.

• Experience in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly within a team environment.
