Description We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in San Antonio, Texas. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounts payable and accounting practices, who are detail-oriented and excel in fast-paced environments. You will play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions promptly and accurately.

• Oversee the timely and precise recording of accruals in the accounting system.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Support month-end closing activities, particularly those related to payables.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all accounting practices.

• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including processing invoices and payments.

• Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate journal entries.

• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) for accounting tasks and system operations. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable processes and related accounting functions.

• Proficiency in managing accruals and preparing accurate financial records.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) software is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

• Familiarity with general ledger and journal entry processes.

• Experience with accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
