Description

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes. Located in Somerset, New Jersey, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the manufacturing industry.

Accounts Payable (A/P) Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Manage invoice coding and verification to ensure proper categorization and alignment with financial records.

• Conduct regular check runs and ensure timely payment to vendors and suppliers.

• Review and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and other supporting documents.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices and payments.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable activities.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of payment-related queries.

• Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.

• Prepare reports and documentation as needed for audits and financial reviews.

• Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline accounts payable workflows.

Requirements

Accounts Payable Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment reconciliation.

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools used for invoice processing.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate financial records.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
