Description

We are looking for a dedicated Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Ashland, Virginia. In this role, you will focus on managing and entering detailed information into computer systems, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data and documents in a collaborative environment. A majority of your work will focus around monitoring and reviewing Bill of Lading documents.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately input data and verify the correctness of information in computer systems.

• Review and organize documents to ensure consistency and compliance.

• Utilize Microsoft Office tools to sort, filter, copy, and paste data as required.

• Maintain meticulous attention to detail to prevent errors that could impact company operations.

• Handle numeric and textual data entry with precision.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of assignments.

• Assist with additional administrative duties related to data management.

• Stay focused on repetitive tasks while maintaining high-quality results.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in data or documentation.

• Follow established procedures and guidelines for data entry tasks.

Requirements • Proven experience in data entry or a similar role.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, especially for sorting and filtering.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work efficiently on repetitive tasks without compromising accuracy.

• Excellent typing skills with a focus on speed and precision.

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members.

• Capacity to learn and adapt to company-specific systems and processes.
