    Description

    Our team is seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to work on-site at our private sports club in Los Angeles. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a stable, well-established organization serving a distinguished membership community.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all club transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP.

    + Oversee all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

    + Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports for management and board members.

    + Assist with annual audits and tax filings, working with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.

    + Partner with club leadership to provide financial insights, analyses, and recommendations supporting the club’s continued excellence and tradition.

    + Maintain strong internal controls and recommend process enhancements to safeguard club assets.

    + Support accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and other general accounting functions in a hands-on, detail-oriented manner.

    + Maintain absolute confidentiality with member financial data and club business information.

    + Serve as a resource to staff and management, offering guidance in a supportive, professional manner.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

    + Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and financial close procedures.

    + Experience working in a stable, service-oriented environment such as hospitality, private clubs, or similar fields highly preferred.

    + Impeccable integrity, discretion, and professionalism—capable of handling sensitive financial and member information.

    + Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.

    + Advanced proficiency with accounting software and Excel.

    + Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

    + Collaborative, team-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in supporting a unique member-focused community.
